Myths go way back in to the world's history. There are a wide variety of myths; from old greek myths to modern american myths.

CONTEMPORARY MYTHS:
These "myths" are more recent, and are seldom believed to be real.

Sasquach (aka Big Foot) is an unproven myth about a human-like ape (or ape-like human) that roams the deep woods. This myth has appeared in many places in the world.
UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects) are commonly thought of as 'extra-terresterial flying saucers' and people from all over the world claim to have seen them.
Ghosts are believed to exist as the souls of the deceased, and there are various beliefs as to why they still roam the earth. This is an incredibly broad term, as "ghosts" have branched in to many different categories, such as hostile, mourning, guarding etc.
I'm not sure if the following are really myths; since some believe them to be real, it seems qualified.
